Joan Munsey

Experience
Joan received her BSN from the University of New Mexico. Her career has spanned several nursing venues including hospitals, clinics, home health care, a bush hospital in Gabon, Africa, and public schools. In 1990, she began working as a school nurse and obtained her credential in school nursing from San Diego State University. During her service in public schools, she specialized in meeting the challenges of special needs children. In 2008, she became interested in legal nurse consulting and obtained her CLNC certification from the Vicki Milazzo Institute. Although she is new to legal nurse consulting, she has twenty years of experience as a school nurse. She has recently written an article, “More than Band-Aids: An Overview of how law impacts school nursing”, which will soon be published in the fall edition of The Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting.
