I have been actively practicing in the area of Obstetrics since 1990. I am currently the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist of a High-Risk Perinatal Unit at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns in San Diego. Prior to this position I was the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist in Labor & Delivery and High-Risk OB at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Diego. My background includes being a clinical instructor for Maternal-Child Nursing at San Diego State University School of Nursing, chapter author for the 9th ed.(2009)of AWHONN's Fetal Heart Monitoring Principles & Practices text and current active member in the San Diego Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants.
