I started nursing in 1972 at Sharp Memorial Hospital in Med-Surg then ICU and Cardiac Cath Lab. In 1977, I joined the Navy Nurse Corps gaining experience in NeuroSurgery, Orthopedics, ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Same Day Surgeries, Podiatry, Triage, Trauma Life Support, Cardiac Surgery Step-Down and Cardiac Rehab. I retired from the Navy and went into Home Health and Hospice.
